DINING

Vegan Danish Bakery

No matter what you are celebrating—a birthday, anniversary or even a Thursday—Vegan Danish Bakery (which has two different locations) is always a good idea. The big sibling, located in its original spot just north of the city in Thornhill, began as a modest little counter-top takeout style bakery in front of a costume shop. But it has ultimately morphed into the lovely eatery it is today! The sister owners renovated and converted the space so well, in fact, that it spawned a spin-off in vegan-friendly Parkdale. Both serve delicious sweets and some savory options, take orders for layered cakes, and have great lunch. But downtown has Sunday brunch, so that wins...
